The firm had its beginnings with pioneers of industrial psychology in Canada. In 1963, Allon Fraser opened the Edmonton office of A. W. Fraser & Associates, the first national firm of industrial psychologists in Canada. Larry Stefan founded his own firm in Vancouver in 1991 and then was instrumental in merging the two firms in November 2012 to form Stefan, Fraser & Associates.

Mr. Fraser was instrumental in the creation of legislation governing psychologists in the Province of Alberta, holding Certificate number one. For over half a century now, our psychologists and consultants have maintained strong commitment to the exacting levels of professional practice that he established.

At Stefan, Fraser & Associates, we are proud of our history. We are pleased that we have become known for our practical approach to the application of human understanding to organizations and for our ability to identify with the priorities of our clients, their employees and their leaders.
